Online Community Curator, Assistant Vice President

This role is for a “Startup” within a large Financial Service Firm in NYC. These roles are new.

The Community Curator role, is responsible for ensuring a vibrant and compliant Online Community for the Dotcom. They will be directly responsible for tracking and moderating all dialogue across the site and the single point person with all key stakeholders for troubleshooting and customer service issues.

The Community Curator, will be partnering closely with the Online Delivery Team on content strategy to create an overall tone and consistency of experience across the site. Some of the key day to day responsibilities include:

  • Tracking, engaging and rewarding active posters. Using the user ranking system to invite these users to act as mavens in different areas and provide appropriate rewards to help build site and brand loyalty.
  • Reviewing all posts for consistency and tone. The Curator should ensure that the Terms and Conditions are adhered to consistently across the site. CM should work with moderators to track and implement plans for removing posts and users where necessary.
  • Managing feedback and working with Online product development team as well as strategy to ensure that feedback is being managed and directly handled.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 5 – 7+ years relevant work experience, preferably in media, PR, interactive marketing, online content management or online community management
  • Strong understanding of financial products across a broad range of segments – wealth management / investment, banking, card, and insurance.
  • Experience working with Web 2.0 Technologies (RSS feeds, Blogs, social networking sites)
  • Attention to detail
  • Project management experience in a matrixed environment
  • Strong communication ability
