Manager Online Strategy
These positions are with a “Start-Up” within a very large Financial Firm in NYC and are brand new roles.
The Manager Online Strategy, VP, role will lead the ongoing development roadmap for the business’s dotcom with a focus on driving a pace of innovation that delivers a best in class customer experience. The VP will establish a Labs environment (aka “Test Kitchen”) to test new capabilities with a broad group of users to test engagement and customer experience prior to a broad public roll-out.
This person will need to actively collaborate with the Online Delivery Team, Agency Partners, and Corp Technology and Business partners to leverage current thinking and capabilities and to share best practices. Some of the key day to day responsibilities include:
- Negotiate with potential technology providers on proof of concepts for rapid test and learn.
- Ongoing competitive, industry and customer research across the financial services industry. Customer research may be primary or secondary.
- Frequently mining the .com landscape across all industries to uncover companies /.technology that can help the dotcom deliver on the website business Brand Promise.
- Develop customer experience stories to portray how new technology will greatly improve the customer experience.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 7 – 10+ years relevant work experience in interactive marketing and capability development
- MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial products across a broad range of segments – wealth management / investment, banking, card, and insurance.
- Strong influence and persuasion skills to “sell” concepts to senior leaders across the organization.
