Community Products is a central business unit that develops, builds and maintains Yahoo!’s community-oriented properties, including some of the Internet’s most vibrant online communities such as Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Profiles, Bix, and Yahoo! 360. The primary objective of this group is to deliver the most compelling online community experience for consumers and identify ways to integrate those experiences with the rest of the Yahoo! network. The Community Products group seeks a results-driven, creative and self-motivated marketer to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and increased engagement across new and existing Yahoo! Community properties and across the Yahoo! Network of properties.

This position requires the ability to work across a cross-functional team that includes product management, global market research, user experience and design, business development and public relations. You will work with US and international marketing managers as well as product managers to define, analyze and action research initiatives and launch targeted marketing programs with coordinated messaging, creative and metrics. Additional ongoing responsibilities include product positioning and customer segmentation, competitive analysis, platform marketing and internal/external evangelism.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Proven success in launching consumer web-based products or services and managing consumer marketing campaigns;
* Strong passion for the customer and advocating on behalf of customer to build products that delight and exceed expectations
* Strong analytical skills and passion for interpreting and translating quantitative and qualitative data into consumer insights;
* Ability to understand and interpret a complex competitive landscape and prioritize a small number of projects that will deliver the greatest impact on business objectives.
* Excellent presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization;
* Very strong organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to work within a matrixed- organization to influence executives as well as peers.

Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of business experience, including 2-3 years of product marketing experience
* Direct experience with consumer Internet products or services.
* Experience with online community services a strong plus
* Proven track record in informing and strongly influencing the global product development process with customer insights; ability to interpret user needs into product requirements.
* Experience in building business cases for new products.
* Definition, design and implementation of marketing programs in at least two of the following areas: online advertising, search engine optimization, viral marketing, promotions, brand management, global campaign scope
* Significant exposure to and success in working with the product development process
* MBA a plus but not required.
