The series is amazingly good on several fronts:
- It’s really cool to see how perfectly represented the marketing/advertising world of the 1960s is, and how much it still influences the marketing/advertising world of today.
- Unlike any other book, movie, or TV show I’ve ever seen, it is masterful in showing the day to day realities woman had to endure (and I do mean “endure). Shameful isn’t powerful enough to describe the insanity of how poorly treated women were.
- Smoking. Damn. Everyone did it, everywhere, at all times. How the world must have smelled. Bad, very bad.
But perhaps the most interesting thing about this show is that I found it completely and totally on iTunes. I didn’t see one ad for it anywhere and only stumbled on it while browsing iTunes.
Check it out, you’ll love it, and it’ll infuriate you. Great stuff.
